There is a greater demand for more varieties and fresher flowers than ever before. We have been fortunate to work closely with some of the world's largest importers of flowers as well as their distributors and retailers. As a result we have integrated into our systems methods of anticipating and overcoming some of the most critical challenges facing importers of flowers today.

Flower Handling Procedure:
• Receive product and palletize onto appropriate wooden skids.
• Verify quantity of boxes and match against packing list
• Check for damaged boxes and notate.
• Take and record arrival temperatures.
• Place into Forced-air Pre-cooler for chill down.
• After pre-cooling place into floral cooler and await distribution.

Example of a Client Success
Problem: An importer was originating several airway bills per week for each of their shipments to various clients. This resulted in a significant fixed cost for each airway bill created.

Solution: A-1 developed a system which allowed the client to create one weekly consignment shipment. A-1 received the freight, stored it and distributed it as needed under the direction of the importer.

Results: The importer realized a savings of nearly 50% of their transportation costs as a result of this customized solution.
